Raptor 6

Captain Dean Watters made a vow that he would remained 100% dedicated to his team and not allow himself to get emotionally involved with anyone. It would be better this way, especially now that he was carrying the guilt for doing just the opposite with him that weighed on his heart more than the weapons and pack he carried into his missions. What he wasn't planning on was his heart following its own path when an American missionary teacher, Zahrah Zarrick, witnesses someone she wasn't supposed to see when her school is bombed. But there is simply more to her than simply being an attractive woman. Her file doesn't provide the missing clues that his superiors expect him to find on his own and the longer it takes the more danger she will be in.

To make matters even worse is the fact she is also the daughter of a four star retired general who will make sure that Dean will serve in the most isolated and desolated places on earth is any harm comes to her. Zahrah is torn between wanting to convey all her secrets to Dean but the strict religious and cultural upbringing of her family forbid her to be alone with any man. All she knows is that with the bombing of her school, she will have no where to teach the young girls who want an education. She just didn't expect to lose one to Taliban terrorists who are stealing military computers in order to gain top level secrets that will expose men like Dean to the terrorist organization. All they need now is the perfect hacker to break the codes that will expose the military best kept secrets, codes, and organizations without destroying the computers.

While Dean attempts to convince Zahrah to leave the county and head back to the United States, she lets him know she is here on a mission from God and when He tells her it's time to leave than she will. What she doesn't realize is just how much danger she is truly in and what terrorists will do to a woman who refuses to cooperate. But will Dean and his team known simply as Raptor 6, be able to locate the missing computers in time or will he be faced to revisit his haunted past that will put him to the ultimate test of his own faith and endurance once again?

I received Raptor 6 by best selling author Ronie Kendig compliments of Shiloh Publishing and Litfuse Publicity for my honest review. I did not any monetary compensation for a favorable review and the opinions here are strictly my own. This is the first novel in The Quiet Professionals Series, and I can't wait for the next one. Before you begin this novel, a warning! You won't be able to put it down once you start, so you need to set aside some time where you won't be disturbed. Chores won't get done, dinner will be late, and the phone will have to wait until you get to the last page. The action is fast paced and does not stop until the final page, leaving you breathless wondering how it will all play out. For me, personally, this is one of Ronie's best novels to date and I can't wait to go back on tour with the Raptor 6 team! Hands down a well earned 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion and a MUST READ for fans of Special Forces fiction!!! I can only pray someone will make a movie out of this novel!

Trinity: Military War Dog

After three tours in the Special Forces, she outranked most of the men she worked with. Especially her handler Heath "Ghost" Daniels. War dogs and specialized search dogs were high-value targets. Terrorists paid big for dead military working dogs. She has countless lives saved under her belt and her final tour almost cost her and Heath their lives in Afghanistan. Thanks to the efforts of the new resolution signed into law by President Clinton a few years back, which allowed dogs to live out the remainder of their years rather than being euthanized after the military decided they were done with the dogs, Trinity has a second chance.

As one of three dogs working with their handlers at A Breed Apart Ranch in Texas, each of these teams is once again training for contract work from companies who have contractors on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan, even their own military. They've seen the great benefit of war dogs and will pay nice fees to have a for-hire availability. Especially since his latest request to rejoin his team as a chaplain was also turned down. It seems to Heath that God is keeping him from finding his true calling back into active service and soon grows frustrated in his own faith. For Heath this is the opportunity for them to get back into action since the IED concussion from the blast and shrapnel sliced through his skull and left him with a traumatic brain injury. This is a program designed by Jibril Khori, former Green Beret and colleague for former military war or working dogs and an opportunity to continue to utilize what they were trained for once again but in a different capacity.

When Heath and Trinity get called to Northern Afghanistan under contract for the Public Affairs Office, as part of a morale-boosting for the troops, he meets Darci Kintz. It seems they have a lot in common but Heath has to make sure to keep his stress in check. In fact that is why the other handlers, Timbrel Hogan and Aspen Courtland are also on this trip, to ensure he doesn't black out. The truth was spelled out on the three faces of the other ABA( A Breed Apart) members: They didn't trust him to do his job. They expected him to fail. God just wouldn't give him a break. And the more he stressed about it, the more he kept blacking out. Is it possible she can find someone who can truly love her despite her secrets or will Trinity be the only girl for Heath? When Heath receives word that a military intelligence officer, Darci who is gathering evidence tracking the Taliban as an undercover geological survey team member has been kidnapped, it will be just the golden opportunity for Heath and Trinity to be called back into action once again. Will he be able to keep his focus or will he put all their lives in danger?

In Trinity, Military War Dog by Ronie Kendig, we get an opportunity to see what its like to work with these handlers and their canine companions in the various military forces and see just how dangerous and truly rewarding their work can be in this fictional novel. Ronie did an exceptional job at her research into what it takes for both the canine and their handlers to work together in some dangerous assignments. I am so honored to be able to look into a different side of serving in the military and just how far loyalty and honor go hand in hand with these service dogs. I also got an opportunity to view the Belgian Malinois that is Trinity's breed of dog and learn more about them after I finished this book. Truly a remarkable breed of dog that is highly intelligent for this line of work.

I received Trinity: Military War Dog by Ronie Kendig compliments of Barbour Publishing and Net Galley for my honest opinion. It is a must read for any military or service dog lover and really hit home for me. I love how much a handler and their dog play upon one another so that they really become one with their thoughts and actions. I applaud Ronie's expertise is bringing this unsung hero to light and to showcase just how dangerous and rewarding their work really is. It is the beginning of an exciting new series, A Breed Apart and I can't wait to read the next book!!! In my personal opinion, this one rates a 5 out of 5 service stars!!!

Digitalis

Colton Neely attempts to spend the fourth of July with his family and friends from the military like everyone else this day. However, he isn't prepared for what happens when the fireworks begin and he is immediately transported back to Faleejah where he is about to be captured. The one thing he doesn't expect is to see the eyes of his own daughter where the eyes of the young suicide bomber are.

When he has a flashback, he draws his weapon on her forgetting that he is safe and sound back home. When his commanding officer orders him to stand down, and has to tackle Colton to prevent a tragedy from taking place, he realizes that he is in need of help and can't commit anymore the services of a sharp shooter. Unfortunately Uncle Sam isn't about to let one of their best men just walk away.

Colton attempts to deal with PTSD while spending time with his parents and his 4 year old daughter McKenna on his ranch and heal from spending two months in captivity, what he doesn't expect to find is an alluring woman from the mall who captivates him in more ways than one. But what exactly is she hiding? Does he want to get involved to help?

In the novel Digitalis, the second in the Discarded Heroes series by Ronie Kendig, we find ourselves immersed in two worlds, one of Colton as he still works for black ops group code named: Nightshade and one in which he is attempting to find a life for himself and his daughter McKenna if only he can find out what Miss Piper Blum is hiding.

This action packed, edge of your seat novel was so amazing, I was captivated from the first page. Ronie Kendig once more takes the reader on an unforgettable journey and tells an incredible story in the process. I received this book compliments of Christian Fiction Blog Alliance for my honest review and must say hands down an exceptional 5 out of 5 stars. If you love military suspense action fictions with a touch of romance and mystery, then this is the perfect book for you.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Ronie has been married since 1990 to a man who can easily be defined in classic terms as a hero. She has four beautiful children. Her eldest daughter is 16 this year, her second daughter will be 13, and her twin boys are 10. After having four children, she finally finished her degree in December 2006. She now has a B.S. in Psychology through Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Getting her degree is a huge triumph for both her and her family--they survived!!

This degree has also given her a fabulous perspective on her characters and how to not only make them deeper, stronger, but to make them realistic and know how they'll respond to each situation. Her debut novel, Dead Reckoning released March 2010 from Abingdon Press. And her Discarded Heroes series began in July 2010 from Barbour with the first book entitled Nightshade.

This is the second book in the series.

Nightshade - Review

My Review:

Deep in the jungle of the Philippines is where Max Jacobs the former Navy Seal leads a secret Black Ops Mission to help several missionaries get out before the Radical Guerillas come in to kill the rival tribes where they live. Max soon learns that through the help of some very close combat friends that he has to accept God and learn from his past, to let go of his inner demons and strife. This book has a great moral storyline for all to read and learn out of this book which is pride. Don't be so prideful that you can't share and trust the people who are part of your life. Max learns a great moral in the final section of the book which I will not spoil for you.

The book Nightshade by Ronie Kendig is definitely great for men and women who know or have some sort of connection with the Armed Forces that protect our Nation everyday! I can't wait to read some more of Ronie Kendigs' next book in this series. Thank you for writing such a clever story! I definitely rate this book a 4.5 out of 5. It has all of the aspects you are looking for in an action book. I like how the story leads Max into wanting to know more about God as the story unfolds before you.

I received this book compliments of Christian Fiction Blog Alliance for my honest review. For more information regarding the book, the author, and a book video check out the links below:
