An Angel Comes Home
George Farmer is a special man with a purpose directed from God. He lives however, in two different worlds. One from the historical Biblical past and one from present day. He has discovered the uncanny ability to time travel through a portal found within the basement of his church Lady by the Bay. It is here, he has discovered his higher purpose quite accidentally and one that God has found favor in.
In the novelette, An Angel Comes Home by Michael John Sullivan, we, the readers, are once more transported along with the character of George Farmer, but also with a beaten down single father, Michael Stewart and his teenage daughter, Elizabeth who are trying to survive in 21st century America, while they also travel back to the biblical past to Jerusalem during the time of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This is the prequel for Michael John Sullivan's fascinating novel Everybody's Daughter and gives the readers a brief glimpse into the life of George Farmer who was a character we meet ever so briefly in the second novel in the time travel series. Yet when we meet him there is so much we don't know about his life and what kind of man he was, Michael Sullivan grants us all the opportunity to see George's life in this short novelette.
Once more the story captivates the reader and we hold our breath in anticipation of what's to come and what we'll see in traveling back in time with George. He helps to rescue countless babies that are being murdered under the Roman soldier's orders and one by one, George saves them. While he knows he can't save them all, he is making a difference in the lives of the ones he does save. Now that George is getting old, he fears his purpose is about up. He struggles between choosing to live in two different periods of time for two completely different reasons. In the present day he is hoping to live out his final days with his long time wife, Cecilia whom he feels he has neglected for far too long, and in the past, he never knows if the life of the baby he saves, will be critical enough to change the history of the world by who they will turn out to be.
However when George doesn't return home one evening, Cecilia fears something has gone terribly wrong. When Dennis, the pastor of the church arrives to speak with George, he learns from that George went back to the church to do something and now he hasn't come home. The one thing Dennis remembers is George's warning to make sure that Michael and Elizabeth don't travel through time any longer. He trusts Dennis to keep his world and keep them both out of the past. George has learned that what they all seek is love and meaning in a very confusing world. Having been given the gift of time-travel, he discovers that sometimes what you wish for can lead to dangerous, even tragic, encounters.
I've been truly blessed with the opportunity to review all these wonderful novels and if you haven't read any of them, you are truly in for a treasure. Whether you love historical fictions, biblical fiction, romance, action adventure or even a bit of inspiration, you are bound to find it in this wonderful series of books from Michael John Sullivan. I received An Angel Comes Home compliments of Michael John Sullivan for my honest review and was not required to write a favorable one. With that being said, I've been blessed in the process.
The one thing that Michael had hoped to convey to the reader through this novelette and even the subsequent novels that follow in this series is this,to breathe the air we are given with passion and meaning each day, to love those who love you most, and to accept your own flaws. Most importantly, it is a reminder to collect moments rather than objects. I personally rate this eBook a 5 out of 5 stars and have once more picked up the first two, Necessary Heartbreak and Everybody's Daughter to reread them with a new set of eyes. This is truly a series with a message of hope! At the conclusion of this story, we are gifted with an excerpt of Everybody's Daughter, but trust me, pick them all up so you can continue to journey one step at a time through history!

When Truth Whispers
Teal Benning just wants to find one honest man in the world. One who can truly love her for who she is, not who they want her to be. After a series of rough starts in dealing with the dishonesty in men, starting with her father, and then subsequently her ex-financè Ian Hartsuk, she's ready to give up. If just one more man in her life fails to hide things from her or keep secrets, she may never find true love or even marriage. Thankfully however, she's arrived back home where a sense of familiarity can be found. That's the one thing she can always come home to, her roots and her best friend, Hunter Miciver.
Now that she can find time to rest and find her inner peace once more away from the lights and cameras of being in magazines and newspapers, she hopes to attempt to finish her book with a deadline of 3 months away. She hopes that spending time at Promise Lake will give her a better perspective on her love life and hopefully find her creative juices to finish her book. Hunter has always been there for her since her childhood. Her one true friend, a life long ally. Hunter couldn't lie if his life depended on it, and that's one of the things she like best about him and his hugs.
But after being away all these years, will she finally look at Hunter, like he has been hoping for? Will she finally see that the love she's been searching for has been right in front of her the whole time? But will the deep, dark secret that Hunter's been hiding for the past 9 years shattered the image that Teal has had about him, or will she be able to see that he's merely been looking out of her like he always has been for all these years?
In the latest novella by Dora Hiers, When Truth Whispers, takes the reader into what often times seems to be the easiest approach in dealing with relationships. Being open and honest. However with Hunter he finds that the one thing he wants to be honest with Teal about, may in fact ruin any chances of a meaningful relationship with her because he's kept it from her all these years. No matter how it tries to justify his reasons, to Teal she will wonder if anyone can really be honest with her including her own mother, who is hiding secrets of her own. Will he be able to give it all up for the love of his best friend? You'll have to pick this one to find out.
I received When Truth Whispers by Dora Hiers compliments of the author for my honest review of her ebook and in no way was I compensated to give a favorable review. I honestly liked this one. It has the makings of something great and would have liked to have seen a longer version of this story with more development on the characters of Teal and Hunter. Overall it was a quick read with a happy ending and one that will leave you wanting more. I look forward to seeing more books from Dora Hiers in the near future and rate this one a 4 out of 5 stars. It's great if you want a short romance with a twist! This is available as a eBook only at this time.

Nickels
Niki Turner thought she had life all figured out. When God took her parents and her brother Jack, she felt that if she just didn't keep anyone close, she wouldn't lose anyone else or have to deal with the grief that has bound her personal life for the last 8 years.
She has vowed to just remain friends with her room mate Marcy and focus the remainder of her time at her job, Hamilton Production Solutions, as a software engineer. But Marcy had a goal this year, and that was to make sure that love found it's way into Niki's life. After all , all work and no play, makes for a very dull and boring life. She vowed to make it her New Year's resolution to find Niki a man who would love her, fall in love and live the proverbial "happily ever after" life!
However when a dream job at Heliotronics is offered to Niki, she sees this as a confirmation that she's been on the right track her whole life. However when Kyle Jacobs is assigned to work with her, she begins to question God's sense of humor after all. Kyle Jacobs, Marcy's older brother, has been the person she dreaded her entire four years of high school. He made it his mission to torture her no matter what opportunity presented itself and now here she was, stuck at her dream job with her worst enemy. But Kyle is a changed man, one both physically and spiritually, and now he has to find a way to prove to Niki that the past is really in the past.

In the newest novel from Karen Baney, Nickels, is her first contemporary fiction about second chances and seeing what God's plan is for us in life instead of what we perceive it's all about. I received this wonderful eBook compliments of Karen Baney and was more than delighted with this wonderfully, well-written story of dealing with the loss of loved ones and finally finding a way to move forward. The journey isn't an easy one but teahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifches us the value of God's unconditional love for us and the meaning of having friends along the way. I rate this book a full 5 out of 5 stars and am so excited to be able to share this review with my readers. This is one you won't want to miss out on. Well done again Karen!

Angel in the Storm - Book 2

A life hangs in the balance and the choice is put on table for Megan and her alone to choose. It seems that her soul is worth the challenge of Damon and it's the ultimate prize for him to win. This time the lives of those she loves will be placed at risk to see how far in her faith she is willing to go.
Her younger brother Max, hasn't yet made the decision to commit his life to Christ. Still not sure what he really believes, he has gone along with things like prayer because he's seen his parents do it. Yet when he prays he isn't sure that there is a God that can answer them. Now Max is missing from his family as Damon has sold him to a pedophile who can hurt him since God will not allow Damon to touch him.
Max realizes what is going on when he awakens after being drugged by Damon at a baseball game. He knows from talking to a young boy named Zero that his very life is in danger and he has to escape. Seeing opportunity above his head, he takes the mattress and climbs to the window, breaks it and escapes. Now he is running for not only his very life but for his soul as well.
Megan hasn't given up her search to find Max after the police believe she knows where he is. Not willing to tell the police she can see into the spiritual world and can see angels and demons, her best bet in clearing her name is to find Max before they find her. Working with her boyfriend Seth and friends, Vania, Robbie, Sam and an angel named Johnny, they set out for New Orleans to find Max.
Their only problem is that this world belongs to the enemy and he has eyes everywhere from the animals that crawl on the earth to the unsaved souls that walk the street and Damon will use whatever it takes to get to Megan before the hurricane arrives. Will Megan be able to find Max in time or will see be out to the ultimate test and choose her life to save another?
In Angel in the Storm, Book 2 in the Angel series by Lisa Grace, we pick up exactly where book 1, Angel in the Shadows leaves off. Max has been taken by Damon and the race is on to find him. Once more Megan's faith will be put to the ultimate test to see how far she is willing to go to save her friends and family. I believe the book is real in the sense that sometimes we don't always make the right choice but sometimes they seem right at the time. Megan's character is believable and shows that not all of her decisions are easy to make and some will have a lasting consequence.
The book also highlights God's role for angels in our lives and how our prayers may or may not affect how they can intervene and just how strong our faith needs to be in the one who created us not in the things he created. I think Lisa did a great job in the continuity of the sequel and once more finished it too soon. Now I have to wait til the fall to pick up book 3, Angel in the Ice. Can't wait to see how that one goes.
I received this eBook compliments of Lisa Grace for my honest review and once again can give it no less than 5 out of 5 stars. For those of you looking for the next great series to get excited about since Harry Potter and Twilight are over, you'll want to make sure you get hooked on this one. My recommendation is to read book 1 first to get completely addicted and the best part is you can head on over to Amazon and pick it up on the Kindle for only $ .99.
