Peril

Sometimes it seems when life brings you to the end of your proverbial rope, it seems like it takes everything we have left just to hang on. That is where we find Morgan Adams, a pediatric nurse who wonders if life is really worth spending more one day among the living. She finds herself at the bottom of the deepest pit. After losing her infant daughter to someone she trusted to care for her, Morgan is facing complications due to a kidney disease that leaves her facing dialysis from her pregnancy and now she faces the depression that almost consumes her.  Who wouldn't want to die after being handed those cards to play in life?

Her only hope comes from her husband, cardiac surgeon Dr. Tyler Adams who has been working on clinical trials with the U.S. Army that have their own unprecedented consequences. It seems like each person who receives a neural graft implant is beginning to have memories haunt them from their former donors. Yet it seems like Dr. Tyler Adams is having his own issues trying to be the strong anchor in the marriage that is literally hanging on by a thread.

This book is filled with almost every conceivable idea to haunt Tyler and Morgan both members of the medical community. This is truly an edge of your seat roller coaster ride that grips you from the beginning and holds you right over the cliff until the climatic ending. This will definitely be an adrenaline rush from the get go. It's filled with intrigue, suspense, and psychological twists when you least expect it. Along the way you see how a couple is tested by literally going through the fire and coming out with their faith completed tested in every way.

I received Peril by Jordyn Redwood compliments of Kregel Publications for my honest review and did not receive any monetary compensation for a favorable one. This is the third book in the Bloodline Trilogy and while you can definitely read this as a stand alone, you will truly appreciated the storyline with a great understanding by picking up for the first books in the series Proof and Poison. This is such a great book because Jordyn writes from her characters point of views so well you can feel what it's like to be in their situation. Also with an understanding from working in the critical care and emergency nursing, Jordyn puts you literally right in the driver's seat with her characters. The loss of a child by a parent has to be the most heart rendering experience and Jordyn takes us through it from every dimension that a parent would. That's what makes this one truly unforgettable. This one truly rates a 5 out of 5 stars.

Poison

If you love books that contain an element of suspense with the right blend of intrigue and romance, than look no further than the second book in the Bloodline Trilogy by Jordyn Redwood. Poison. Keelyn Blake is back as she attempts to come to terms with the murder of her mother and half of her siblings by the hands of her father who believed he was taking orders from someone he called Lucent.

Only now Lucent isn't a figment of the imagination! He is real and comes to visit Keelyn as she is waiting for her financè, Lee Watson, a member of the SWAT team. He tells her things that only someone who knows her deeply would know and gives her a prophetic message, he is leaving her 2-year-old niece she's never met to her care as a goodwill gesture. The only catch, she can't come looking for her sister and the mother of the child or she will die along with the child.

Not sure just how Lucent knows this, she leaves the diner with Lee only to find a murder victim behind the wheel of the car and her 2-year-old niece in the back seat. Keelyn is an expert at reading people's body language and uses that talent to help her find the missing pieces of the puzzle to find her sister before it's too late. The only problem is the body language her fiancè is putting off shows he's hiding something from her, and soon the body count begins to climb as those that were a part of that fateful day when her family was murdered all begin to die from an unexplained cause. Will Keelyn be next or will she be able to locate her sister in time before the next person dies?

I received Poison by Jordyn Redwood compliments of Kregel Publications for my honest review and received no monetary compensation for a favorable one. Having read the first book quite some time ago, I found it's not necessary to have read Proof before picking this one up because Jordyn captures so much of what had happened as a recap in the lives of Keelyn and Lee Watson. Proof is the first novel but deals with the life of Lilly whom we also meet in Poison. If you want to know her story, you'll have to pick that one up. It is chilling to think that someone would go to the lengths that they do in this book as a method of revenge. This is not the series for everyone as it does contain references to the violence that has brought Keelyn where she is at today in her life. I did find the research into the body language very interesting and loved seeing Keelyn use that in her day to day dealings both in her personal life and in helping others in her volunteer work. I rate this one a 4 out of 5 and definitely loved the fast paced this novel moved at in comparison to her first book.

Proof

Warning: If you are about to read this book, late at night, loss of sleep is almost guaranteed. You will NOT want to put this one down until you finish, but trust me, it's well worth it! If you love a great suspense thriller, then you will want to pick up Proof by Jordyn Redwood, the first book in the Bloodline Trilogy. This one is definitely geared to hook you from the first page and keep you turning pages as fast as you can because it's that good!

Emergency Room doctor, Lilly Reeves has seemed to misplace her keys and since she can't head home without them. Until she does, her boss Dr. Anderson, suggests she take the next trauma case slated to arrive. Little does Lilly know how different her life will be connected with the victim, Torrence Campbell. She's been involved in a car accident and upon arriving in the ER, Lilly learns that the victim is pregnant. Not only that, she learns that this may have not been an accident after all and that someone intentionally meant to cause this. While she fights to save Torrence's life, she pages the OB on call and learns that Kadin is the attending. He retrieves the baby so they can concentrate on saving the mother.

When Detective Nathan Long arrives at the ER, he immediately wants to talk to Torrence, but she is completely unresponsive and Lilly isn't sure she will make it. She learns that besides being the target of intended car accident, she is also the only witness in her rape case. She can identify her attacker and it seems that his case is about to go unsolved unless they can save Torrence's life.

Aside from waiting on the results of what Lilly believes is brain swelling, she has to wait to see if Torrence will regain consciousnesses but it doesn't look like it. Only time will tell. So as she heads home, she finds her keys sitting on her bag as if someone just set them there. Lilly will soon learn just how this insignificant event is about to change her life forever.

In the Bloodline Trilogy, Proof by Jordyn Redwood is a physiological thriller that will literally keep you on the edge of your seat as you work with Detective Nathan Long to figure out who this serial rapist is and if they can stop him before he claims his next victim. Will Lilly survive or does she possess something that the killer wants to keep hidden and will stop at nothing until she is dead? This novel combines some of the best elements in Christian fiction, spiritual warfare along with roller-coaster suspense for a faith filled book that will definitely leave you wanting more.

I received this book compliments of Kregel Publications and Christian Fiction Blog Alliance for my honest review and have this one on my top MUST READ list to make sure I stay on top of each the sequels to see how this will all end up! Jordyn Redwood is the next and coming author that you will want to remember after reading this debut novel! She will be the one to watch! I rate this one a 5 out of 5 stars because for me, if I can't put the book down to finish anything in my life at the current moment, then that's a keeper for me.
