Why did the accident have to happen?
Why didn't I do something to prevent it from happening?
Why did God allow this to happen without intervening?
These are just some of the questions that haunt and plague the dreams and lonely hours of Matt and Irene along with their remaining daughter, Casey Moore. Attempting to leave behind the tragedy that claimed the lives of Daniel and Jesse, both brothers, whose unfortunate chain of events would lead a family down a terrible path.
Yet God sometimes allows us to suffer through the hardest of times so that we can gain a sense of compassion for others by seeing it through our own eyes. As is often said, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever died.
However when a strange boy comes to town with a dark past and an evil presence about him, the town can only begin to wonder if he isn't the reason for all the things going terribly wrong since he arrived to Breakers, a small waterfront community.
In the book, Someone To Blame by C.S. Lakin, I found myself questioning how I myself would respond to any of the situations she takes the reader through in this book, and how I myself need to use the circumstances of trials and sufferings in my own life, propel me forward with a renewed sense of compassion for others. I would rate this book a wonderful 5 out of 5 stars. What a great life lesson is hidden within it's pages, like a treasure just waiting to be found.
