The One Year Mother Daughter Devo

As a mom of two daughters of different ages it is interesting to find a way to still connect with them uniquely on their own levels and still keep the communication open as they grow. I was more than pleased when Tyndale House Publishers asked me to review The One Year Mother Daughter Devo or Devotional with their compliments.

This was the long awaited answer I had been seeking. Not only are the stories for each calendar day fun and relevant for various ages of girls, but there are some additional fun tasks that keep more than communication going long after the devotional reading. One such day that we were working on, spoke about the various fruits of the Spirit and what was needed to grow each type of fruit. Then came a task that instructed us to make home made guacamole and see how working together can keep our relationship growing as well.

There are fun activities incorporated or even great discussion starter that keep the bonds between a mother and daughter growing and maturing in not only communication but in loving at different stages of their life. There are also great Bible references and scriptures to have fun in memorizing and gaining additional insight into what God has to say about the subject.

I loved this book and can't wait to complete it in a full years time but most of all I look forward to the love and character building that will take place as we grow in our relationship as mother and daughter as well.
