His Other Wife

Sometimes you look back and try to figure out when it all when wrong. For the last six years as Hilary attempts to move forward, she still finds herself wondering where it all fell apart. One day out of the blue her husband Eric, announces one day that he is in love with someone else, has started divorce proceedings, is moving out today and the papers will be served on Thursday.

So how do you begin to process that? Hilary looks to God to deal with all the issues surrounding this circumstance, while struggling to raise her teen son, Seth as a single mom working as a nurse.

After those six long years, Seth's graduation day is coming up and with that, a meeting with her ex husband Eric, his new wife Pam and her two kids, Ben and Lily. How will she deal with that? Seth also informs her of a private graduation party that most parents are aware of that involves an overnight camping trip on graduation night. Will she let him go?

Hilary's life will be tested beyond what she has gone through in the last six years in one night that will change everything and give her faith in God the ultimate test. Will she survive?

I received the book, His Other Wife by Deborah Bedford, compliments of Hachette Book Groups and Faith Words, for my honest review. I can say I loved it! The reality of what Hilary must face not only with her divorce but the struggle in single parenting is inspirational to those that have walked in those shoes, myself included. I wish I had the support system she did in the book and shows just how difficult it can be at times to wonder where God is in all of it, when things come crashing down. This one rates a 5 out of 5 stars!

  1. Hi Kat Sweetie...
Is it time for tea? We could sit and chat out by the pool this evening, it's a little cool, but I could light the chimeneria. Oh what laughter there would be. So much to catch up on. Books to share and ideas galore. Oh girl, can't you move a little closer to my neck of the woods? Please???

I so hope one day we get to meet. It would be wonderful. Another wonderful review sweetie. I thank you for sharing. You know how I love to read what you read. Kindred spirits.

Hope you had a beautiful day sweetie. I think of you each day I pass my little library and smile, smile, smile. We so love to read the same things, and what fun it is to share our favorite authors and stories.

Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry
