The One Year Choose Your Own Ending Devotions

Want a way to interact with your family and children more than to not only do family style devotions but to have them try and figure out a possible ending? In the newest book from Tyndale House Publishers, The One Year Choose Your Own Ending Devotions does exactly that.

In your traditional daily calendar style devotional that has a day dedicated to a story, a Bible scripture reference and short passage along with some though provoking questions, the story simply ends with a question of where does the story go from here? It gets the whole family involved in the possibilities of interpeting the scriptures and finding a way to conclude the short story.

At the end of the book it lists the possible endings so you can make sure you are on the same page as a traditional devotional as well as learn things from your family through their own insights into the passages or scriptures they are reading.

My youngest daughter and I loved to incorporate this into our school mornings and begin our day with this fun way to study God's word together. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review and found it to be well worth the reading. I would rate this a 5 out of 5 stars for the simply pleasure of involving the whole family during devotions in a new and creative way.

  1. How cute! I used to love choose your own adventure stories as a kid. Never would have thought to incorporate the concept with Bible devotionals!
