The Gospel of John

Don't you wish that someone would come up with a way thanks to all the advances in technology to showcase the Bible in an inventive way. Besides reading it, or hearing it, what if you could watch the story of the gospels come to life visually while the Bible is being read. Imagine how much more you could retain? Imagine how that would benefit those who are challenged with reading or even as we age our eyesight isn't what it used to be, but we still miss out on reading the Word like we used to?

The Lumo Project has done just that. It has taken three versions of The Gospel of John, and created a visual movie that accompanies the Word of God straight from the Bible. You can choose between the New King James Version, New International Version or one in Spanish. As the movie unfolds visually while an audio overlay is being read, you are able to "see" and "hear" the Word of God in just over 2 1/2 hours.

The Gospel of John takes the story of Jesus from John’s gospel with its own unique characteristics. For John, Jesus is the Word of God made human. John is clear that that when encounter Jesus, we encounter God.  The gospel writer points to the miracles (the ‘Signs’) and teachings as evidence of Jesus’ special relationship as the divine Son of God.

This full-length feature film about the life of Jesus takes the actual Gospel text as its script, word for word, unedited. This is such an amazing resource for people who have difficulty reading and would LOVE to "read" the Bible in their own way. Every word is taken directly from the Bible, and nothing is left out. I chose the option to view the New International Version and had my Bible in Hand to verify the authenticity of what I was seeing and hearing. This is truly a remarkable resource and one I am thrilled to be able to share with you. This is coming to NetFlix beginning December 1st and trust me, it is one you don't want to miss and to be able to share with your family just in time for Christmas. Easily well worth all 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion.
