The Debutante - Giveaway and Review

There are always secrets just waiting to be discovered. Some lie within the confines of letters being mailed discreetly and others in paintings from some undiscovered artist. Some remain behind locked doors, hidden in a long forgotten shoebox with other items waiting to be discovered.

When Cate Albion begins working for her aunt Rachel to take a job as a valuer, to an aging yet nostalgic mansion built in the 1920's. Seems it's about to be torn down to make way for a real estate developer to build a high class resort in London. She journeys along with Jack Coates who always prefers to work alone when preparing for an auction, yet Rachel, the owner of Deveraux and Diplock assures him that with two working on the contents of the house will go much quicker than working alone.

Jack Coates is still grieving for his wife that he lost tragically two years ago and has subsequently found a passion for being alone in his work. It isn't until he spends three hours in the car with Cate, that he finds himself strangely attracted by her confidence and great looks. What Cate finds behind a locked bedroom door in the Blythe Mansion, known as Endsleigh, is about to take both of them on an unexpected ride that neither of them saw coming.

I received the book, The Debutante by Kathleen Tessaro, compliments of TLC Book Tours in exchange for my honest review. I was captivated by the locked bedroom and what secrets the house was holding that I couldn't wait to see how it would all end. I was not disappointed. It took me back in time to a much different way of life in London and back to the present day dealing with the choices that Jack and Cate had made in their lives. I would rate this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars. There are some sexual content in the book and occasional profanity but the book is well worth the story within.
